Our Family Party - Christmas Day 2010

Our Ten Grandchildren....this is my favorite picture of our Christmas Party.....they all took their roles so seriously....even the two littliest shepherds on the front left corner! We started with a dinner of roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, and honey baked ham (so that it felt like Christmas..instead of a regular Sunday Dinner)

Grandma and Grandpa Webster ( David's parents) and Grandma Teeples ( my mom) joined in our party!

We then went downstairs for the little program....just a little bit of history...I hurt my back the week before Thanksgiving, and so I had been un-able to get very many Christmas decorations out from under the stairs and up in the house! The boys did carry the Christmas Tree out and placed it in the corner of the basement...but atlas....I never got it decorated! It really bothered me, and in Primary the Sunday before Christmas the Primary Presidency did the little story about "Teach the Children" where you teach them what the star means, lights on the tree, red bows etc...all of the true meanings of Christmas. Anyway...it hit me that Sunday.. that that is what I should do with my bare tree! Teach the Children and let them decorate it! The really amazing part is that I already had everything except little wreaths to decorate it with!

So, I taught them what each item meant and then gave each grandchild one of the items to hang on the tree! It really worked out well, and they all seemed to really enjoy decorating Grandma's naked tree!
Below is the finished product....and if I do say so myself...it is prettier than I would have done...
The Webster Family just might make this a new family tradition!

We then do our own little family Nativity! This is a really special part of our Christmas! I let each child take turns being the different parts....of course all the girls want to be Mary and Hunter has a hard time not being the shepherd, but they are all really good sports! This year little Jade and little Jake were our Mary and Joseph....
Below is picture of all the kids ready and waiting in the hallway to make their way to Bethlehem!

Jade and Jake (who are the best little friends and go to the same pre-school, played our Mary and Joseph! And for those of you who don't know Amy's little Jake...he very rarely, if ever stands still...but he took his part very seriously!

It's Present Time!

Below is Jason and Erin and Cohen and Eliza!
The Bangerter Family below...it was really hard to get all the faces!

Below is Amy and Jon's family opening presents!

And you ask....where is Stefanie and Rich????? Well, Stefanie, once again is the camera girl and she didn't get a picture of herself! Imagine that!! But, Thanks for the pictures, Stef!

Grandma Teeples gave all of the great-grandkids one of those popular little rat like things that run and spin all over the place....she had thought that she bought one extra for herself, but when she got to wrapping, she realized that she was one short!
Below, we gave her a little rat pet of her very own!

It was a Wonderful Christmas....it went too, too fast as usual...and with not one day off from work, it really didn't feel like much of a Christmas break....but I loved spending what time I did have with my family.

I LOVE YOU GUYS!
