Wicked Trip!

My mom, Amy, Michelle and I flew to Los Angeles on Thursday to see the broadway musical "WICKED." We had so much fun and enjoyed the play so much on Friday night that we bought more tickets to see it again on Saturday night!
We saw all the famous sights in Hollywood...the Hollywood Hills sign is right about Amy's head!

Grauman's Chinese Theater...& Hollywood Walk of Fame
The Highland Center...this is where the Kodak Theater is located!

On Saturday we went to Universal Studios....the following picture was taken on the Jurassic Park water ride...Yes, my mom has a bag on her head!

We drove to Santa Monica and enjoyed a day exploring the pier and the beach and of course doing alittle shopping!

And second only to Wicked...was all of the great food we enjoyed!

Jeep, Jeep, & More Jeep

David & I have a new hobby...jeeping! Actually David is obsessed with it! He loves going to Moab, or actually anywhere that he can drive his jeep. With his horse partner in Africa for three years...he has had to find a new way to see the country side and not have to work so hard doing it! Our best jeeping buddies are Stefanie and Rich (who got us into this) and now David has got his brother Leon and Janet into it as well.

If you look real close to the second picture...David is grinning from ear to ear!

Hospital with Rich

I am creating this blog while waiting, waiting, waiting at U of U Hospital. Rich is having heart surgery today. Most of you know that he has been passing out alot lately...sometimes several times a day and after a ton of different tests, they finally narrowed it down (we hope) to his heart mis-firing....something to do with his heart's electrical system....it somehow tells his brain to shut down. Since Christmas it has got increasingly worse...and increasingly scarier with him driving. Easter Sunday he passed out at the top of our stairs and was having a hard time breathing and started convulsing (we think) so David called 911. We weren't sure if he hit his head on the stairs or what. Needless to say, it woke up our neighborhood and had people thinking it was David when the ambulance, paramedics and fire truck showed up. Once Rich came to, Rich refused to go to the hospital because he knew there was nothing that the hospital could do, especially since he was already scheduled for surgery today. As I am typing this, the Doctor came out and said that he is doing well, and they think they were able to find the spot in the heart that is mis-firing and cauterized it and hopefully will stop his passing out. He might even be able to go home tonight.

Moab with Amy & Jon

Recently we are able to go to Moab with Amy & Jon and the kids. We had just purchased a newer 5th wheel trailer and wanted to take it out on it's first run to make sure that anything was working properly. Amy & Jon also have a trailer, so we headed out on Thursday, March 27th......we were pulling the 5th wheel and towing the jeep and trailer behind. You might be interested to know that our total length when pulling both trailers is 68 feet. It scares me to death when I see it all hooked up...but it doesn't seem like were pulling hardly anything once we are moving. We do have to plan out our route, because there are only certain gas stations and restaurants that we can fit into. Amy and Jon were pulling their trailer and had two four wheelers loaded on the bed box. We stayed in a campground in Moab with water and sewer hook-ups, which makes it seem less like camping.
