On December 23, 2010 we held our Annual
Teeples Family Cookie Night! Over the years (we think it's been about 30!!) we have added Gingerbread Houses for the kids to do....but this year with 10
Grandkids and the cost of buying the gingerbread houses...we decided to try candy trains! The kids had a great time making their trains and loading the cars with all kinds of fun treats!
We start off the night with dinner....Grandma
Teeples pays for all the pizza and
breadsticks...and once again the rule was...if you eat...then you frost! Although through the years, I think more and more of our family are breaking that rule, but not everyone gets into frosting cookies!
But...for those we are obedient....the frosting begins! Amy made all the cookies this year! Thank you Amy! I actually got proof that David frosted a cookie...it may have very well been his first! Just kidding...after 30 years, he frost just enough for him to eat!
Let the trains begin! This was a new experience but the kids seemed to really enjoy it. Each child built their own candy train and loaded it with candy. It took everyone helping to pull it off!
As the
grandkids get older....some of them are really detailed!
Now that I know they liked making trains, I can stock up on the candy bars at Halloween!
