This last weekend we went with Amy & Jon and the kids down to the San Rafael Swell area outside of Green River Utah. It was an awesome place to go 4-wheeling and jeeping! This is Jake (2) below....all he can say is Go Daddy! This is Curtis (5) and Jake (2) ready to go for a ride!
Bailee (8) and Kenadee (6) are excited to be headed out on the 4 wheelers!

This was close to where we stopped for our picnic lunch! It was really beautiful country!

Curtis came into the jeep for awhile and the rule was if you didn't put on the seat belt, you had to keep one hand on the strap at all times, in case Grandpa hit a bump....Curtis fell asleep but he didn't let go of the strap!

This next picture is alittle dark, but we are just below Swassey's Cabin!

David took this picture of Swassey's cabin to send to his horse packing partner, Phil Squires! They have been all over this country on horseback!

These two bridges are part of I-70...it was cool to ride under them!

There were sign markers all along the way....which was a very good thing so we didn't get lost!

Amy and the kids!
About 4pm on Sat. Jon's 4 wheeler lost a bolt to the suspension.....they tried for an hour to fix it but ended up towing it for another hour and then about 1/2 hour before sundown, we finally had to abandon it and pile everyone in the jeep for a very long slow ride back to camp. We got back to camp about 11pm Sat. night. David and I were suppossed to be home Sat. night for our Stake Conference, but unfortunately we didn't make it. Sunday morning we packed everything up and headed to the little town of Ferron, Utah and the men left us at the city park, while they tried to take the truck and find the 4 wheeler. 4hours later they came back and got us.....Thank heavens for playgrounds and city parks. I don't know what Amy and I would have done with the kids while we waited!

This is a cute picture of the kids in the trees around our camp! It was a great camp, at the base of a high cliff....with trees all around. And the best part was it was very easy to get to....only 6 miles off the highway and on really good dirt roads!

That looks like a fun place to go. You will have to give us directions how to get there so we can go check it out!
